On 30/1/2024 Department of Computer Science organized a guest lecture on “Opportunities for Higher Studies Abroad and the Process” to provide students with valuable insights into the myriad possibilities available for pursuing advanced education internationally.

Ms. Monika Zadke was the guest of honour having 8 years of experience in Overseas Education Consulting, Envision. The speaker elucidated the diverse academic programs, scholarships, and research opportunities offered by universities abroad, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the potential avenues for higher studies. Additionally, the lecture meticulously detailed the application procedures, visa requirements, and essential steps involved in the process of pursuing education overseas. The audience gained a nuanced perspective on the benefits of studying abroad and left the session equipped with crucial information to navigate the intricate journey of higher education in foreign countries.

World Computer Day Celebration

World Computer Day was celebrated in the Department of Computer Science, Vishwakarma University, Pune on 15th February 2024. TechXplorers Club of students was inaugurated by honourable Vice President Prof.(Dr.) Wasudeo Gade sir. TechXplorers Club is dedicated for fostering a dynamic community of tech enthusiasts, empowering students to become proficient, forward-thinking technologists. In the event knowledge-packed workshop on the Laravel framework by Mr. Prateek More was conducted to provide valuable insights to our tech enthusiasts, equipping them with the skills necessary for the ever-evolving tech landscape. In the second session Tech Trivia Quiz was conducted by TechXplorers Club core team members which was a thrilling challenge designed to test our tech-savvy students. There was the announcement of the top three winning teams in the valedictory and Medals and certificates were awarded in prize distribution function.

Industry visit to Mapro Pvt. Ltd.

On February 24th, 2024, students and faculty members from the Department of Travel and Tourism visited Mapro Pvt. Ltd. in Wai to understand how tourism products are designed and promoted. Additionally, they explored Menawani Ghat as an example of Film Tourism.

 In an era where globalization has intertwined economies and legal systems, the demand for professionals who can navigate both business and legal challenges has skyrocketed. The BBA LLB program, an innovative integration of Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Laws, emerges as a beacon for 12th-grade graduates aiming to make their mark in this dynamic landscape. Vishwakarma University Pune stands at the forefront of this educational revolution, offering an integrated BBA LLB program designed to mold the next generation of global leaders.

On February 10, 2024, members of the Department of Travel and Tourism, including both students and faculty, embarked on a journey to the Outbound Travel Mart at Jio Convention Center in BKC, Mumbai. During their visit, they extensively explored over 1000 kiosks representing various businesses in the travel and tourism industry. Through this experience, they gained valuable insights into the diverse operational activities associated with the Business to Business model.

National Tourism Day

To commemorate National Tourism Day on January 25, 2024, the Department of Travel and Tourism efficiently coordinated numerous events. Students and faculty members showcased India's diverse and vibrant culture by dressing in traditional attire representing different states.

 

 Activity Details:-

1) Promoting India’s Island Tourism

Yuva Tourism Club members from the Travel and Tourism Department have presented and conveyed information to their fellow university students regarding India's Island Tourism.

 





 

2) A photo booth designed to promote lesser-known destinations in India.

Students from the Travel and Tourism Department have created a photo booth and provided details about India's lesser-known destinations to promote the country's rich heritage.









 

3) Treasure Hunt

A treasure hunt was organized for department students, where they had to search for pieces representing various states hidden across the campus. These pieces were then used to form an Indian map. The team that successfully located the most states was declared the winner, and to motivate them, shopping coupons were awarded to participants from the winning team.
