Mission
Effective implementation of New Education Policy
The new education policy is made keeping in mind access, affordability, equity, quality and accountability of education. It focuses on giving students the freedom to choose from a basket of courses offered at the university level, thus not restricting them to one specific specialisation. The Centre for Teaching & Learning would help revamp the curriculum, pedagogy and assessment methodology.
Overlook overall teaching and learning processes at the university level
With the advent of short-term and long-term courses on online platforms, universities need to upgrade themselves to remain relevant. The Centre for Teaching & Learning observes, assesses and makes recommendations for teaching and learning processes at Vishwakarma University.
Find tools, devices and activities that can catalyse and augment the learning process
Teaching is no longer limited to textbooks and classrooms and indeed it should not be. With the changing time, education has become practical and hands-on and has gone beyond classrooms. For this very reason, the Centre for Teaching & Learning strives to keep education at pace with changing times as well as encourage education in order to impart knowledge.
Facilitating Multidisciplinary Research
Having very diverse departments under one umbrella is an advantage for the university as it provides a multi-disciplinary approach to problem-solving. We encourage various departments to conduct collaborative research that brings a variety of expertise.
Bridging the gap between Academia & Industry
Employers in the industry sector keep iterating that one of the major challenges for employability of graduate students is their academic structure is not coincident with the set of skills required at the industry level. This gap has to be bridged in order to make students more suitable for the industry.
