Faculty of Commerce & Management’s Department of Management had organized a study tour to IIM Bangalore, India 15 th of June 2022 to 18 th of June 2022.
DAY 1: IIM Bangalore Campus and session with Prof. Ganesh Prabhu - IIM Bangalore is one of the top three management institutes in India and is located in close proximity to some of the leading corporate houses in the country, ranging from information technology to consumer product companies, giving it the added advantage of integrating classroom knowledge with practical experience.
46 students from MBA First & Second Year alson with 3 Faculty Members were the part of the study Tour. Indeed the tour was a lifetime experience for each and every student present there. The tour included not only the IIM Bangalore campus visit but also the state of art robust library visit, where students spent some time enriching the latest books on Management.
The visit also included an hour session on Blue Ocean Strategy through IIM Bangalore Professor of Strategy: Prof.Ganesh Prabhu at the campus classroom which was an indepth learning for students who asked lots of questions to the professor and which was patiently answered.

Day 2: On 17 th of June 2022 an educational trip to the Toyota Kirloskar Motor PVT LTD‘s Eco Zone was scheduled with 46 students and 3 Faculty members. Ecozone showcased the steps TMK are taking towards sustainability and protection of environment, activities like saving soil, plants, trees, fresh water, etc. Students had early morning walk in the oasis inside the ecozone in all the 17 theme parks. The dump yard of 25 acres turned into Ecozone with robust Flora and fauna. It was very interactive tour through the biologists Ms.Shreya Sri and Mr. Ajay educator/guide throughout the trip. They both explained the students regarding Toyota environmental challenge in 2015 and the sustainability and Eco zone concept of TMK which is unique of its kind. Students found the eco zone a very diverse hotspot for flora and fauna. By increasing the number and diversity of plants (fauna). It is directly linked to nature. And is progressing towards achieving their sustainable goals and students could relate with the same. They also showed us their 2 upcoming new sustainable car models in which one was EV.
UB City Mall where the tour was divided into 2 parts
1) Exploration of Oakwood Hotel.
2) Meeting Marketing Manager of UB City Mall.
Mr. Saurabh Kumar who is the General Manager of Oakwood gave us a wonderful opportunity to visit one of the hotels of Panchashil. We facilitated him with a bouquet and a small token of appreciation. The Chief Engineer – Mr. Prasad, showed us the facilities that the hotel is been using as it is a service (Business) apartment it is totally different from other hotels, there are 28 flats which was mentioned by him. Mr. Saurabh Kumar interacted with students on varied questions on facility management.
The Marketing Manager of UB City Mall Ms. Sana spoke about UB City Mall’s marketing strategy how they are setting up the brands on each floor for eg 1 st floor is for Big Brand’s such as Rolex etc, the 2 nd floor had Clothing brands and lastly the 3 rd floor was having the Food restaurants, Bars and an amphitheatre were they organized music shows 2 times a month.
They’re main focus was setting up the Brands accordingly like what Brand will the customers see first and what will be brands which they will allow in the Mall, design of the shops their interior their position in the Mall all of these are planned by them. Some students asked questions on their marketing plan. It was great learning experience towards Luxury Brands and how UB City Mall is managing their Business Ethics, Brands and their Marketing.

Day 3 Study Tour to ITC Ltd Banglore and students had a great experience watching how their different FMCG products were manufactured specially the chocolate filled biscuits. The process from procurement- kneading, baking, filling, packaging in different layers were shown and explained. The HR Manager Mr. Vivek and Manufacturing Manager Mr Anirban interacted pre and post visit to the factory and also discussed about HR and Quality aspects of the goods manufactured. It was a very informative and worthwhile experience for the students.

Industrial visit was organized by Faculty of Commerce and Management for the BBA semester VI and BBA IB semester IV students at Mapro Foods Pvt. Ltd., Wai, Satara on 25th April, 2022.
The primary goal of this industrial visit is to provide the students an insight to how the theoretical concepts are applied in real life business set up. At Mapro Foods Pvt. Ltd., students were first shown the audio visuals on Mapro Story afterwards they visited the food factory. Various production to packaging processes were shown and discussed with the students by the Mapro assistants. The General Manager of the factory interacted with the students and answered their quires related to the company, production and promotion activities. Students gained practical knowledge of operations and supply chain management as well as learned about marketing aspects through this visit.

International Yoga Day is worldwide celebrated on 21st June 2022. On this occasion the Department of Yoga and Naturopathy and National Service Scheme (NSS) has organised the Yoga workshop at Vishwakarma University on 21 June 2022 at 8:00 am to 9:00 am.
Prof. Sanika Bam performed the Yoga Session with the students, Burhanuddin Kanorewala, Adishri Pote, Harshita Jain, and Zainab Parekh. During the session all the participants performed the Sookshma vyayama; Ansnas: Tadasan, Hasthpadasana, Bhujangasana, Shavasana, Makrasana, Setubandhasana, Uttanpadasana, Pawanmuktasana, Chakrasana; Pranayama: Anulom Vilom, Bhramari Pranayama; and Meditations. The program was broadcasted live online and Vishwakarma University students, as well as faculties, performed the yoga activities.
The program was successfully organized by the collaborators Dr. Kailas Bhosale, Dr. Yogesh Suryawanshi, Prof. Siddhi Singh, and, Abhaya Kumar Pradhan. Special Thanks to Prof. Dr. Siddharth Jabade, Vice-Chancellor, and Prof. Dr. Wasudeo Gade, Vice President for immense support which helped in the seamless conduction of this event.



On the occassion of "National Energy Conservation Day” (14th December 2021) and "National Science Day"(28th February 2022), Professor. Shrikaant Kulkarni, Faculty of Science and Technology delivered an Expert Session on "Energy Conservation" and "Science & Technology for future" respectively. The sessions were organized by Pad. Dr. V.B.Kolte College of Engineering, Malkapur in an online mode and was attended by Engineering, Polytechnic students, and faculty.

Professor. Shrikaant Kulkarni, Faculty of Science and Technology delivered an Expert Session on "Nanotechnology" organized by IEEE Student Branch VIT Pune on the 26th, 27th, and 28th of April 2022. Engineering students from all four years of programmes attended the session and received knowledge insights from Prof. Kulkarni.

Introduction:
On August 14, 2023 on the occasion of Anti ragging day the Anti-Ragging Committee in collaboration with Student Welfare at Vishwakarma University, Pune conducted an Anti-Ragging Awareness Session as part of our ongoing efforts to foster a safe and respectful environment for all members of our university community. The session was facilitated by Dr. Sarika Sagar, a renowned expert in the field of Law and student counselling.
Objective:
The primary objective of the session was to sensitize students, faculty, and staff about the detrimental effects of ragging and to disseminate information regarding the legal and disciplinary consequences associated with such behaviour. Additionally, the session aimed to empower participants with strategies to prevent, report, and address instances of ragging effectively.
Session Overview:
The awareness session commenced at 11 :00 and was attended by more than 70 participants, including students, faculty, and staff members. Dr. Sarika Sagar commenced the session by providing an overview of the definition and various forms of ragging, emphasizing its impact on victims and the broader university community.

Prof. Deepak Giri, Faculty of Art and Design was conferred with the Golden Pixels Award acknowledging his journey in the Animation Industry by P.A Inamdar College of Visual Effects Design & Arts. Prof. Giri started his journey in animation and VFX in 1999. After working in the industry with RM USL Studios, Penta media Graphics, Dataquest animation, Etv 2d Animation dept, ZeeTv Corner shop studio, Side FX studio and thereafter starting his own studio under the name Pixtricks Entertainment, he has now ventured into academia at Vishwakarma University, Pune.

The Department of Law, Vishwakarma University, were the Winners of the 2nd Edition of Bal Gangadhar Tilak National Moot Court Competition organized by Lokmanya Tilak Law College, Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune.
The Moot Court Team consisted of Mr. Krunnal Gharre, Mr. Mahesh Bapat as speakers, and Ms. Neha Bindu as the researcher. Mr. Krunnal also won the Best Speaker of the competition award. Teams from across the country participated in the competition. The case revolved around the issue of marital rape.
