Dr. M S Parameswaran
I feel very happy and proud to collaborate with Vishwakarma University in association with Lakshminarayana Global Centre of Excellence to offer higher education in music with a global approach. Kavita & I feel privileged to be the founders, mentors and knowledge partners of the B.A.Hons, M.A & Ph.D in a music degree program at VU. This is a unique global music degree program where students focus on learning different streams like Hindustani music, Carnatic music, Percussion and Western music as classical art forms while getting exposed to subjects like sound engineering, digital marketing, event management, global music etc., which leads to many opportunities for the students in the music industry. This degree program has been designed by us as specialized music education, with a vision to combine the best of the traditional Gurukul system of learning music with the modern college education system so the students can undergo rigorous training to become great musicians if they work hard passionately in that direction and also find opportunities to establish themselves as professionals in the field of music.
The specialized music programme at Vishwakarma University in association with LGCE provides an inclusive & intensive platform for students, grooming them as professional performers & musicians with a global approach. With technological advancements today, the worlds a stage for any musician who has the extensive training and tools to explore the opportunities globally. This programme has a balanced, practical and global approach that would definitely provide the necessary training & exposure to students to learn, practice and imbibe traditional & modern music-making technologies from mentors & experts who are professionally renowned and established in the music industry. I believe that with the right amount of hard work, commitment and perseverance, students who come to this degree program will grow exponentially as musicians and will be able to find many opportunities to establish themselves as music professionals.
