Outcome On successful completion of M.Pharm. programme at VU the student will be able to : 
1 Acquire the knowledge and comprehension of core concepts of pharmacy, biomedical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, and manufacturing practices.
2 Demonstrate effective planning abilities including time management, resource management, delegation skills and organizational skills.
3 Utilize the principles of scientific enquiry, analytical thinking and critical thinking, while solving problems during daily practice.

As per Pharmacy Council of India regulation

Minimum qualification for admission to M.Pharm (Part-I) programme

A pass in the following examinations -

a) B.Pharm degree examination of an Indian University established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years of B.Pharm).

Provided that –

a) there shall be reservation of seats for the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes,

Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes in accordance with the instructions issued by

the Central Government/State Government/Union Territory Administration, as the case may

be, from time to time.

b) For SC/ST candidates the prescribed percentage of marks will be 50% of the maximum

marks (aggregate of four years of B.Pharm).

c) Every student, selected for admission to postgraduate pharmacy course in any of the

pharmacy institution in the country should have obtained Registration with the State

Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his

admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

d) For candidates having not less than 5 years professional experience, after passing B. Pharm

course, there shall be a relaxation in pass percentage from 55% to 50% for admission to

M.Pharm programme.


As applicable for the UG / PG Programme

For Reserved Category Students – Caste Certificate, Caste Validity, and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, are additionally required (over and above listed documents).

Last date of submitting all / pending documents: 31st August 2024



If admission (provisional / confirmed) is cancelled before 31st October 2024, then Rs. 1000/- will be deducted and the balance amount will be refunded.

If admission (provisional / confirmed) is cancelled after 31st October 2024, then no paid fees will be refunded.

Note: Students / Candidate is expected to be in touch with Counselling and Admissions Office, VU, to seek update on last date of admission.

If refund is applicable, then the applicable amount (refund) will be disbursed/ credited to the candidate’s/ parent’s bank A/c through RTGS/NEFT, as per A/c details indicated by the candidate within 15 working days from the date of cancellation of admission.

Separate accommodation and food facility for Boys and Girls on a first come first serve basis.

  • Hostel Charges: Rs 1,05,000/-
  • It includes a Mess (Breakfast + Dinner) and a Refundable Deposit of Rs. 5,000/-.
