Research cell and Department of Economics (Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences) of Vishwakarma University has organized its first three weeks Summer School for students and scholars of economics to enhance their theoretical and applied statistical and econometric skills with STATA software.
Resource person Prof. Mohamad Aslam delivered the informative and insightful sessions in Summer School. Total 20+ students from various universities has participated in this Summer School. The program was successfully organised by the organizing committee members Dr. Rahul Waghmar (Chairperson), Dr. Yogesh Suryawanshi (coordinator), Mr. Aashish Aandhale (Coordinator) and VU students coordinators with the support of Dr. Prasad Gokhale (Director Research) and Prof. Ankita Sangle (HoD, Dept. of Economics).

Department of Psychology, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, Vishwakarma University Pune has organised a three-day event, "Psynesthesia – 2023: Mental health is a Universal Human Right" in alignment with SDG-3 by the United Nations that ensures healthy lives and promotes well-being for all at all age from 10th Oct 2023 to 12th Oct 2023 (All 3-days in the second half only). The aim of the event was to make mental health & well-being for all a global priority.
The event was inaugurated by the Vice President of Vishwakarma University Prof. Dr. Wasudeo Gade, Controller of Examination Prof. Dr. Yuvraj Lahoti and guest speaker Ms. Anupama Ganu (Experienced Play and Filial Therapist). The psychology students coordinated the event under the guidance of faculty coordinator Ms. Rupali Nawale and different competitions were organized by student coordinators under the guidance of different faculty members. Students from different departments participated in the competitions like Inter-department Quiz Competition, Inter-department Debate Competition, Inter-department Poster Competition, and Inter-department Drama Competition.

Details Report: The POSH Act is a legislation enacted by the Government of India in 2013 to address the issue of sexual harassment faced by women in the workplace. The Act aims to create a safe and conducive work environment for women and provide protection against sexual harassment. For matters connected therewith or incidental there to the Internal Complaints Committee has been constituted for the redressal of complaints made by employees. Guest Session on Awareness on POSH Act 2013 was organized by the Internal Complaint Committee for Students. This program included a guest lecture by the expert Mrs Kiron Moghe who provided information about the POSH Act 2013.

Details Report: As per Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. Vishwakarma University advocates the empowerment of women and has zero tolerance for sexual harassment, for matter connected therewith or incidental there to the Internal Complaints Committee has been constituted for the redressal of complaints made by employees. Guest Session on Women Security and POSH act 2013 was organized by the Internal Complaint Committee for faculty members. This program included a guest lecture by the expert Dr Pravin Pargoankar who provided information about the POSH Act 2013.

The Visionary Club of the Faculty of Science and Technology has successfully organized a Hackathon event on 06th November 2023. BTech, Bsc and Msc students showcase their skills and innovation in the field of technology. The hackathon covered diverse domains of interest i.e., Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning(AI/ML), Cybersecurity and Internet of Things(IoT). At the start a felicitation ceremony was held to express gratitude to honourable Dean S&T, Dr. Nitin Satpute and HoD AI, Dr. Pratibha Mahajan, with the presentation of saplings as tokens of appreciation. It was graced by the presence of esteemed faculty members.
In the event the problem statements were declared to 32 teams and they were allocated a room for their hackathon activities, adorned with vibrant decorations and inspirational quotes. Core members and team management members oversaw the smooth progress of the hackathon activities. 10 judges evaluated the teams. The event concluded with the announcement of the top three winning teams for each domain. Dean S&T, Dr. Nitin Satpute and Associate Dean S&T, Dr. Sanjesh Pawale shared their insights and offered words of appreciation.
The Department of Computer Science organized a workshop on First Aid on 26/10/2023 from 10.15am to 12.15pm. Total 56 Students from the computer science department attended the workshop.

The Department of Interior Spaces, in collaboration with the Placement Cell at Vishwakarma University, orchestrated a series of interviews on 23/10/2023 for students entering their 6th semester of the Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design (BAID) program. The initiative aimed at providing students with valuable internship opportunities to enhance their practical skills and industry exposure.
