Outcome On successful completion of B.Arch. programme at VU School of Architecture & Planning the student will be able to :
1 Understand the basic knowledge of Architecture and its application in the fields of design, structure, building materials, technology, architectural professional practice and commemorate the knowledge from theory to design.
2 Understand & Choose the appropriate materials based on their structural, physical, aesthetical properties and limitations to be applied in the built spaces
3 Understand structural concept & appropriate application as per the project needs
4 Understand the impact of different environmental, social, and economic parameters of architectural history and analyse the same in the context of present times in terms of its adaptation, conservation, and applications in design and structures in parallel with history.
5 Acquire the knowledge of the climate of different regions to understand and analyse the climatic considerations, specific architectural needs of the region in terms of its architecture and planning principles.
6 Learn and Apply appropriate graphical skills to communicate and translate the design thoughts in the graphical language following the contemporary conventions of graphics
7 Communicate effectively with the Architectural community and with society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports, make effective presentations and documentation, and give and receive clear instructions.
8 Learn, select, and apply appropriate computing tools with an understanding of their application towards problem-solving as well as its limitations.
9 Calculate accurately the quantity of various materials, items of work used in the construction and derive a cost estimate based on the available market rates and the quantities calculated.
10 Recognize the need of site & project by analyzing site conditions, soil characteristics to suggest appropriate strategies & species for a durable, easy to maintain landscape
11 Describe and detail out the material and expected quality of work to be used in construction, based on the knowledge of materials, technique, and the market forms.
12 Understand the architectural needs of the present generation without compromising the architectural needs of future generations which satisfy their needs and implement the knowledge of sustainable and green architecture to translate them into practice.
13 Utilize the principles of scheduling, resource management, time management in solving problems and making decisions for projects.
14 Apply the knowledge of urban design and housing in the context of architecture and planning to demonstrate empathy in the application of applied architectural skills of architectural design and execution in terms of planning and design principles.
15 Honour personal values and apply ethical principles in professional and social conduct. Use ethical frameworks; apply ethical principles while making decisions and take responsibility for the outcomes associated with the decisions.


  • The degree makes a candidate eligible to become a registered architect with COA India, which opens job & business opportunities in several different sectors.
  • The academic structure supports skill enhancement & employability. Includes various electives like software simulation, human psychology & construction bye-laws.
  • Training of advanced building energy modeling software, IES & exposure via working on real projects. Relevant to changing technological, social, cultural, and economic environments of the nation.

  • Work as a professional Architect and establish your own firm as an entrepreneur. Along with B. Arch. the degree you become eligible for being a registered architect with COA, this registration gives you the ability to sanction projects in any government sanctioning authority throughout India.
  • Bid for government projects as well as serve as panel architect on government & non-government entities.
  • Job prospects in government, large architectural firms, multinational design-build companies, large infra companies, and in real estate developer’s design teams.
  • Work as a specialty consultant such as sustainability consultant, landscape consultant, façade designer, interior designer & urban designer.
  • Work as an Estimating & Costing Consultant, Land & Real estate Valuer, Research Consultant.

Note: Vishwakarma University (VU), Pune charges an application form fee.


i. Qualified through the recognized aptitude test in Architecture (NATA) in 2023.

ii.Have gone through any of the following curriculum with marks as prescribed below:

a)Passed in 10 +2 Scheme of Examination with 50%. Also PCM subjects with aggregate of Minimum 50%.

b)Passed 10+3 diploma examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject. with at least 50%


As applicable for the UG / PG Programme

For Reserved Category Students – Caste Certificate, Caste Validity, and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, are additionally required (over and above listed documents).

Separate accommodation and food facility for Boys and Girls on a first come first serve basis.

  • Hostel Charges: Rs 1,05,000/-
  • It includes a Mess (Breakfast + Dinner) and a Refundable Deposit of Rs. 5,000/-.
