The School of Pharmacy, Vishwakarma University, successfully conducted a two-day Fever Awareness and Prevention Drive on 7th and 8th August 2025, in morning session near Aai Mata Chowk, Bibwewadi Pune as part of its offline community outreach initiative to educate the public during the post-monsoon season. The drive aimed to spread awareness about seasonal fevers such as dengue, malaria, and viral fevers, highlighting their symptoms, preventive measures, and the importance of early medical attention. Special emphasis was given to hygiene maintenance, particularly safe storage and handling of water to prevent mosquito breeding. Faculty members Prof. Srinivas Uppu, Prof. Poonam Taru, and Prof. Vishnu Parab, along with D.Pharm and B.Pharm final-year students, actively participated by conducting counselling sessions, distributing informative leaflets, and demonstrating preventive practices. The team interacted with community members in their local language, making the sessions more relatable and impactful. Residents responded positively, showing genuine interest, asking questions, and acknowledging the importance of the information provided. The event not only benefited the community but also enriched the students’ practical understanding of public health engagement, strengthening their commitment to their future roles as responsible healthcare professionals.
