Introduction:
The PG Interior spaces students of Vishwakarma University undertook an enriching exploration of set design by visiting ND Studios. This visit provided them with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the art of creating immersive environments, blending aesthetics with functionality. Organized with the aim of honing their creative thinking and observational skills, the students learned about various elements of set design, such as scale, materials, textures, and lighting, which play a crucial role in bringing cinematic and theatrical visions to life.
Objectives:
- Observe the behind the scenes of set design
- Observe the materials, props and techniques in creating life size sets.
Activities:
Upon arrival, students were initially guided to observe the various sets of Bollywood movies and materials present on-site. They carefully analysed the different components of the materials available.
The students carried out an in-depth study on set creation, exploring how to bring visual concepts to life and the use of various props and elements in set design.
