Introduction:
The Interior Design students of Vishwakarma University, Semester V, visited BRACT’s
corporate office as part of their Design Studio III (C) coursework. The visit was curated to
deepen students’ understanding of the design and planning of modern corporate interiors. It
provided an opportunity to observe real-time design applications and professional design
strategies.
Objectives:
● Understand the planning and designing of corporate office interiors
● Observe spatial zoning, workflow distribution, and circulation planning
● Study material usage, interior services, and ergonomic considerations
● Recognize how branding and company values are reflected in interiors
Activities:
Upon arrival, the students were introduced to the spatial flow of the office and guided through
key functional areas including:
● Reception & Lobby – spatial hierarchy and visual branding
● Open Workspaces & Cabins – workstation types, zoning logic, partitions
● Meeting & Conference Rooms – privacy, lighting, AV systems
● Breakout Spaces – informal seating, wellness-focused design
● Service Integration – lighting layout, HVAC zoning, storage systems
Students carried out on-site sketching, measurement, and photo documentation (with prior
permissions). Discussions with the office team enhanced their understanding of spatial
functionality and design reasoning.
Key Learnings:
● Gained firsthand insight into corporate space planning and circulation
● Observed integration of services within design aesthetics
● Understood the impact of brand identity on interior planning
● Recognized how ergonomics and flexibility play key roles in design
● Strengthened observation, documentation, and analytical skills
