Objective: To celebrate National Tourism Day and promote awareness about India's rich cultural heritage and tourism potential.

Event Summary:

The Yuva Tourism Club, under the Department of Travel and Tourism, successfully organized a vibrant celebration of India's National Tourism Day on January 31, 2025. While National Tourism Day is officially observed on January 25th, the celebrations were held on Friday, January 31st, as the 25th fell on a Saturday. The event saw enthusiastic participation from Travel and Tourism students who engaged in a variety of activities designed to showcase India's diverse culture and inspire a passion for travel.

Activities:

The day was filled with engaging and informative activities:

  • Virtual Tours: Participants embarked on virtual journeys across India, exploring the unique landscapes, historical sites, and cultural traditions of different states. This provided a comprehensive overview of the country's diverse offerings.
  • Movie Dialogue Guessing: This interactive game added a fun element to the celebration, challenging students to identify movie dialogues related to travel or specific regions, reinforcing their knowledge of Indian cinema and its connection to tourism.
  • State Cuisine Presentations: Participants showcased India's culinary diversity by bringing and presenting traditional dishes from various states. They shared information about the ingredients, preparation methods, and cultural significance of each dish, promoting an appreciation for India's gastronomic heritage.
  • Storytelling Game: This activity encouraged creativity and communication skills as students shared travel-related stories, anecdotes, or imagined experiences, fostering a sense of adventure and exploration.
  • Film Screening: The screening of "The Bucket List," a Hollywood film centered around travel and fulfilling dreams, served as an inspiration for students, highlighting the transformative power of travel and encouraging them to explore the world.

Outcome:

The National Tourism Day celebration was a resounding success. The diverse range of activities effectively engaged students and provided them with a deeper understanding of India's tourism potential and rich cultural heritage. The event fostered a sense of national pride and inspired a passion for travel and exploration among the participants.
