- Introduction
The Department of Artificial Intelligence, Faculty of Science & Technology, Vishwakarma University, Pune, proudly organized AI Day Celebration 2025 — a day dedicated to exploring the vast world of Artificial Intelligence through expert talks, knowledge-based competitions, and engaging debates. The event aimed to encourage students to delve deeper into AI’s applications, ethics, and future possibilities while providing a platform for showcasing their analytical and communication skills. - Inauguration Ceremony
The celebration began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and innovation. Faculty members, distinguished guests, and student representatives participated in this ceremonial start, signifying unity and the bright future of AI in academia and industry.
The inaugural address was given by Prof. (Dr.) Kailas Patil, Dean, Faculty of Science & Technology. In a unique and symbolic gesture reflecting the theme of the day, the Dean utilized Artificial Intelligence to generate his speech, which was then delivered using AI-generated voice technology — marking the first time an AI-assisted speech was presented at AI Day.
Following this, Prof. (Dr.) Wasudeo Gade, Vice President, Vishwakarma University, Pune, addressed the gathering, sharing valuable insights on the future of AI, its transformative role in various industries, and the importance of ethical considerations in AI adoption. - Guest Session
The highlight of the morning was an insightful session by Mr. Dharmen Dhulla, Co-founder of AssetCues, Pune, Maharashtra, and Senior Architect skilled in AIML, Blockchain, Distributed Systems, and Cloud.
Topic: Gen-AI: Power of Generative AI for Transforming Ideas into Innovation
Time: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Mr. Dhulla captivated the audience with real-world examples of Generative AI applications, explaining how AI-driven creativity is shaping industries such as design, healthcare, and entertainment. He also discussed emerging challenges and opportunities in leveraging Gen-AI for innovation.

After the guest session, students gathered for the much-anticipated competitions:- AI Quiz (1:30 PM – 2:30 PM)
- A concept-based quiz covering AI fundamentals, real-world applications, and scenario-based problem-solving.
- The quiz tested participants’ understanding and quick-thinking abilities in applying AI concepts.

- DebAIte: Voices of AI (2:30 PM – 4:00 PM)
- A structured debate competition where students discussed and debated thought-provoking topics related to Artificial Intelligence, including ethics, impact, and the future scope of AI.
- Participants showcased their research, reasoning, and public speaking skills.
The key benefits gained by the students from AI Day 2025: DebAIte: Voices of AI are reflected in the following graphical representations with Average rating (4.42), which highlight the positive outcomes in terms of knowledge enhancement, skill improvement, and overall engagement.
Over 80+ students participated in AI Day 2025 events, with individual participation in both competitions.
