Admission Process for B. Arch

To be eligible for admissions into Architecture courses, the minimum requirements are as follows-

  • 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics OR 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as a compulsory subject from any recognized Board / University.
  • A valid NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) score, which is conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA) or JEE Mains Paper II score.

Once you are eligible, apply in person for provisional admission by filling up a provisional admission form along with a photocopy of required documents at the Admissions Office / Students Facilitation Centre (SFC) or go to Vishwakarma University at “Secure provisional admission”, fill the form pay the fees and you are done with the provisional admission process. 

Career and Job opportunities in Architecture

 

After finishing a bachelor's degree in architecture, an individual can seamlessly discover a fast-revolutionary and well-paying process in a wide range of professional settings. A job can be acquired in the government as well as the corporate sector. 

One can discover government opportunities like in - Public Works Department, Housing and Urban Development Corporation, Department of Railways, Ministry of Defense, etc. Apart from these, individuals can also build themselves up as entrepreneurs by becoming independent architects or starting a business in the same field. 

After completing B.Arch, students have the option of continuing education and pursuing a Masters in Architecture as well. There are hundreds of options that can be looked at and some wonderful colleges which offer this course. The important exams which are required are GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test of Engineering) and CEED (Common Entrance Examination for Design)  

Apart from M. Arch, the other options which can be looked at are Masters in Design, Masters in urban design. Masters of building engineering and management, Master of Planning (Environmental Planning / Housing / Regional Planning / Transport Planning / Urban Planning).

A person who takes up the responsibility to design each aspect of the city. They not only design buildings but also other parts of the city like landscapes

Architectural Journalist

For those who have an interest in writing. This is a fast-growing sector. These students can give their services to magazines, media houses, websites that are related to the architectural industry.
