Vishwakarma University

Vishwakarma University (VU) is a natural offshoot of the Vishwakarma Group of Institutions’ educational legacy spanning more than 35 years. The University has been established as a State Private University under the Government of Maharashtra in the year 2017. VU is approved by UGC, respective regulatory Council and is recognised by AIU. VU is allowed to design and implement its own curriculum, conduct examinations and award degrees.

The single modules are classified into mandatory and elective modules. Students are free to choose actively out of the offered elective modules within their special field of interest. The first semester takes place at VU, India. In total, the first semester consists of 6 modules (work-integrated study mode parallel to the students‘ jobs), 5 ECTS per module. Two modules will be taught by Hof University Professors.

Support and Admission

Support Structure

Hof University Graduate School offers extensive personal support for international students. The fees include organizational support before and during the studies at Hof University as well as continuing counseling. Our students benefit from numerous services provided by the Welcome Service, International Office, Career Service and Housing Office.

We provide assistance in finding accommodation in Hof, offer orientation sessions prior to the start of the studies in Hof and organize additional activities such as intercultural trainings or company visits. Also, transportation in Hof is free of charge.

Admission Criteria

I A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university in engineering sciences, at least 180 ECTS or equivalent (depending on the home country). European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) is a method of measuring academics. On average, one ECTS credit point equals between 25-30 working hours.

I Proficiency in English, proven by either official test score documents (TOEFL minimum 90 or IELTS 6.5 or above) or confirmation that the Bachelor’s programme was taught completely in English language.

I On arrival in Germany : Basic language skills in German, proven by official test score documents - minimum level A1 according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

I One year of work experience.
