The VU Centre of Communication for Development (VU CCD) was set up on the 73rd Independence Day, August 15, 2020, at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of the Vishwakarma University to train the students to use print, electronic, and social media and to work as Media professionals.
This is the first Indian university to initiate teaching, research, and application of a new discipline of Empowerment Communication.
The main motto of thei activity to strengthen the role of communication in the development of the society at large and redefine the contour of development bringing people at the center of the development process.
VUCCD team uploaded the barber story on our website http://vuccd.com/ yesterday afternoon. It is based on a survey conducted by our 13 students. We released the stories to Marathi and English newspapers and news agencies thereafter. We are delighted to inform you that All India Radio, Pune, carried the Marathi story in its special 10: 10 hrs bulletin this morning, with details including the mention of VU CCD.
