Vishwakarma University’s Center for E-Learning and Industry 4.0 (CELI4.0) launched a unique training module on Remote Product Monitoring System Using Industrial IOT in collaboration with C4i4 Labs Pune on Thursday 28th March 2019. The first training session was preceded with an inaugural address by Prof. (Dr.) Siddharth Jabade - Honorable Vice-chancellor, Mr. Dattatray Navalgundkar-Director C4I4 Labs Pune and Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Deshpande, Director CELI4.0. Mr. Deepak Shrivastava (C4I4 Labs), Mr. Deepak Bodhani (DigiTech Pune) and Mr. Vinay Patil (JVP India) were present as resource persons for the succeeding training session. Mrs. Mrunmai Ranade coordinated the event.
At the end of this training which is focused on developing Industrial IOT system and Industry 4.0 skills, students shall be equipped to undertake digital transformation projects in small to medium scale factories. Selected 20 students from various engineering disciplines of VU and VIIT shall undergo this exciting and completely skill-oriented training imparted by industry experts. Automation basics, digitalization, IOT, asset management, overall equipment efficiency (OEE) computation, dashboards and data analytics will be taught to the participants with practical assignments.
VU’s Center for E-learning and Industry 4.0 shall utilize these skilled students to further train academic and industry community. This will be an important project as it is first of its kind where students are getting direct exposure to cutting edge technology of smart manufacturing.
