Wearing helmet is mandatory in Vishwakarma campus in Kondhwa. It was a result of the extensive safety drive undertaken by the Pune traffic police. Before the drive was formally conducted between 15th to 25th January 2018, the Police Inspector, Shri Chandrakant Nimbalkar, in charge of Kondhwa Traffic Division educated the students and faculty about the importance of observing safety measures while driving. To this end he conducted a talk and made a presentation.

To ensure better coordination of the drive each college on the campus and Vishwakarma University appointed a coordinator. During the 10-day safety drive, students, faculty and the staff was compulsorily checked for their ISI certified helmet and driving license at the entrance. People who did not adhere to the rule were prohibited from entering the campus on their two wheeler and asked to park their bike at the entrance.The drive was personally monitored by the police personals. The student representatives played a key role in making the drive a grand success.
