As many as five BBA students of faculty of Commerce and Management, Vishwakarma University will fly to Germany to learn the global aspects of production, supply chain practices and recent trends and smart technologies used in the business world. The students will be participating in a month long international summer school at prestigious Hof University of Applied Sciences to achieve this goal.
VU had recently signed academic and research collaboration MoU with Hof University of Applied Sciences, Germany. The opportunity for five BBA students, (Bhavin Ruparel, Shubham Ugale, Yogikumar Patel, Suhas Kare, Ayushi Patel) to participate in summer school is an outcome of this effort. The title of the summer school is 'Production and Supply Chain Management' and students will be benefitted by learning skills and broadening their understanding about global production, supply chain practices, recent trends and smart technologies used in businesses around the world. Along with BBA students, one MA Economics student (Hariharan Chandrasekhara) from VU is participating in International Textile Summer School at Hof University.
Besides learning the new skills of their topic of interest, it will be a kind of global exposure to students as the study group comprises students from India, Germany, China, Mexico and Spain. The idea of providing this opportunity to degree students is to offer a world view to the learning at an early age. Along with students Vishwakarma University's faculty member Prof. Ashish Thite will also visit Hof as he will be delivering an eight hour module on 'Inventory Management and Forecasting in Supply Chains' in the summer school at Hof University.
