It is said that to have another language is to possess another soul. The inclusive curriculum at Vishwakarma University (VU) allows students from all streams to experience the magic of learning a foreign language along with the core courses. In keeping with the spirit, On the 23rd of Nov 2017, the students of German language celebrated German day with much exuberance.

Dr. Prof. Wasudeo Gade, Vice President, VU along with Dr. Prof. Kedar Sant, Registrar and Dr. Prof. Yogesh Deshpande, Dean (STEM) formally inaugurated the programme with deep prajjwalan ceremony followed by Indian and German national anthem. The students took over the reigns after the formal inauguration. The programme followed an interesting thread of activities. Journalism and Mass Communication(JMC) and Art Design and Architecture (ADA) students prepared models and charts. Journalism and Mass Communication students presented a melodious German song while BBA students took the lead in arranging a quiz for the students.

It was followed by a word puzzle and a fun filled activity called as the “The Treasure Hunt” which had clues given in simple German. Mrs.Manjiri Paranjape, ex HOD of Foreign Language Department, SPPU graciously visited our exhibition. The team of enthusiastic students headed by the German teacher Prof. Meghana Shiralkar was a grand success. It was delightful to see students from different streams come together, interact and enjoy this event.
