A Constitution is a basic document and the supreme legal act of a state enshrining the principles of equality, liberty, unity and integrity. It provides the guidelines for peaceful and effective administration of a state, adhering to the ‘rule of law’ i.e., ‘no one is above the law’. The Constitution of India also very well cherishes these principles under its various provisions guaranteeing and giving paramount importance to the rights of individuals.
