Overview

Master of Laws (LLM) is a one-year full-time postgraduate course with specializations in Criminal Law, Business Law, International Law & Arbitration, Cyber Law, and IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) Laws.

What sets the LLM programme at Vishwakarma University apart is the expert faculty and research-oriented rigorous academics. This enables the students to gain knowledge of the law and inculcate a research attitude.

The LLM course develops critical thinking and promotes a spirit of inquiry. We encourage the students to research socially relevant issues which have a lasting impact. We encourage our students to learn practical legal skills in analysis and critical evaluation, alongside a range of transferable skills such as research and presentation skills.


 
Outcome On successful completion of the LLM programme at VU (Law) the student will be able to :
1 Sharpen their legal knowledge and research skills.
2 Cultivate an analytical approach towards socio-legal problems.
3 Evaluate the functioning of the laws and legal machinery.
4 Devise viable solutions to socio-legal problems through extensive research.
5 Follow ethical principles of the legal profession.
6 Empathize with various sections of the society and uphold the core Constitutional Values.

  • The first team sent by the Department of Law for the National Level Virtual Moot Court Competition stood third in the competition after 4 grueling rounds of arguments. The team also won the award for Best Researcher. The National Moot Court Competition was organised by I - WIN IP Services and Cell for IPR Promotion and Management (CIPAM), DPII, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India in association with Osmania University.
