Overview

Statistics is a discipline that is fundamental in decision-making and policy formulation. The descriptive and inferential role of Statistics formulates the basis of growth for almost all disciplines of the modern world. It also provides an array of non-traditional employment avenues ranging from the sports-analysts to business analysts.

The B.Sc. Statistics programme focuses on statistical science and its application to real problems. The course prepares students to enter into a promising professional life even after graduation.

The programme provides a platform for pursuing higher studies leading to post-graduate or doctoral degrees.

The statistical packages are useful to reinforce students’ theoretical and practical skills. Graduates may apply the knowledge gained in the  IT, production industry, financial, medical, and agriculture sectors.
