An uninhibited expansion of human activities has wreaked havoc on the environment. Therefore, the need for sustainable and green technology in order to mitigate the harmful effects of unsustainable development on the environment is on a rise.
Recognizing the necessity to explore new avenues of research and innovation in the discipline, a joint symposium was organized by ERI@N, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Vishwakarma University on the 5th of December 2017.
The symposium was chaired by innovators from NTU Singapore and leaders from Vishwakarma University. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Nilesh Jadhav, Program Director - EcoCampus at NTU, Mr. Bharat Agarwal, President – VU, Dr. Wasudeo Gade, Vice President – VU, and Dr. Siddharth Jabade, Vice Chancellor - VU.
The focus areas of the symposium were Green Building Modelling, Nano-Coating for Solar Panels, Energy Harvesting Sensors, NanoGrids, and EcoCampus. The primary objectives of this symposium were to understand technologies developed at NTU; to deliberate on business opportunities and challenges for these technologies; and to explore partnerships with industry to enhance and market for these technologies.
This event was attended by corporate professionals, SME Owners/ Managers, experienced founders/co-founders, faculty members from VU, and MBA students
